Service Beyond the Story

One Mission. Many Ways to Serve.

Doc Bodo’s work extends beyond military and medical history. Explore the organizations, conversations, and veterinary services built around a shared commitment to veterans, animals, families, and the stories that connect them.

The Work Continues

More Than a History Series

Service has been a defining part of Jack “Doc Bodo” Bodolosky’s life, from his experience as a United States Army combat medic to his work supporting veterans, service animals, pet owners, and local communities.

Each project featured here serves a different purpose, but all are connected by the same values: compassion, responsibility, education, and respect for the bonds that help people through life’s most difficult moments.

Protecting Those Who Serve

Warrior Companion

For many disabled veterans and first responders, a service animal is more than a companion. It is an essential source of independence, stability, and support.

Warrior Companion helps provide veterinary healthcare assistance for the service animals of disabled veterans and first responders. By helping offset the cost of routine and unexpected veterinary care, the nonprofit works to protect both the animal and the person who depends on it.

Because Some Heroes Wear Paws

Companion Paw’dcast

Animals often become part of the stories that define our lives. They stand beside us through difficult seasons, celebrate our best moments, and leave an impact that continues long after they are gone.

Companion Paw’dcast creates a welcoming space for people to share those stories. Through heartfelt conversations, guest features, and educational discussions, the show celebrates the relationship between people and the animals that change their lives.

Compassion Meets Clinical Care

Animal Hospital of Sullivan County

The Animal Hospital of Sullivan County has served pets and families throughout the Catskills and Hudson Valley for generations. Its veterinary team provides preventive medicine, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, and urgent care during regular office hours.

As a veteran-operated and family-focused practice, the hospital combines established veterinary experience with personal, compassionate care for every patient and family it serves.

Honoring a Lifetime of Companionship

Companion Memorial Crematorium

Saying goodbye to a beloved animal is one of the most difficult experiences a family can face. Companion Memorial Crematorium provides respectful pet aftercare designed to help families find comfort, closure, and a meaningful way to preserve their companion’s memory.

Its services include cremation options, memorial products, private viewing opportunities, and compassionate guidance throughout the farewell process.

Veterinary Guidance From Home

Rx Pet Vet

Getting professional guidance should be simple and accessible when questions arise about a pet’s health. Rx Pet Vet provides a digital connection to veterinary support, helping pet owners seek guidance without beginning every conversation inside a clinic.

Use the Rx Pet Vet platform to learn more about available virtual-care options and determine whether remote guidance or an in-person veterinary visit is the appropriate next step for your pet.
